Student Support
A few words from our Student Support Officer, Shelley Alexander:
I’m very pleased to be here at Tabor in my second year as Student Support Officer. My role description reads:
To provide support to students, encourage the spiritual life of the College, and build College community life.
Here are some of the things in which I am involved:
Being available to talk to students, providing tutorial help and referral to advanced tutorial help, teaching Study Techniques and Language Skills, providing referral to professional counselling, offering confidential intercessory prayer, co-ordinating the College prayer and worship times, being a support person for overseas students, providing direction and empowerment to the SRC. I also hope to help organise student and staff events that build community.
To visit me, come to my office – downstairs in the corner of the quad, beside the chapel – knock on the door and come in… if I am not here or am not available at that time, please leave a note under the door and I will get back to you to make a time.
