Welcome to the Counselling Faculty. I hope your enquiry leads you to a vocational choice at Tabor Adelaide.

At the heart of Tabor Adelaide’s Counselling Faculty is transformational Christian tertiary education.  Our aim is that students grow in the knowledge and skills required of professionals working within counselling and related human services. Our accredited undergraduate and post graduate courses aim to effectively integrate theory and practice which leads to potential employment opportunities.

The uniqueness of our courses is evident in the following:

  • Undergraduate students develop theoretical knowledge, applied skills experience and increased awareness throughout their undergraduate degree.  As part of a new initiative in 2007 students are given the unique opportunity to participate in personal counselling through Tabor’s Life Design Counselling and Education Centre.  These sessions highlight the necessary personal development and professional insight to personal counselling.
  • Skill-focused counselling subjects with high competency-based tasks.
  • In third year undergraduate students undertake counselling field education placements with outside service providers to build skills and abilities in specific areas.  Placements also provide significant experience for job pathways.
  • Graduate Certificates offer flexible professional development in a variety of counselling area and also serve as a bridging pathway to graduate programs.
  • The Graduate Diploma is recognised as one of the best courses in Australia for counselling practice, and includes 160+ hours of individual counselling in a fully supervised facility.  Students also have the options to specialise in counselling areas, through subject selection and specific placements designed to enhance their skills in their area of interest.  The Graduate Diploma program gives its graduates professional accreditation and recognition with PACFA.
I look forward to discussing your application with you.

Yours sincerely,
Sue Crossman
