Senior Lecturers
	Rev Dr Mark Worthing Head of Humanities Mark has a long-standing interest in science and theology, ethics, English literature and creative writing. One of his books God, Creation and Contemporary Physics (Fortress Press, 1996) won an international prize for best new book in science and religion. His book on Ethics (When Choice Matters: An Introduction to Christian Ethics) provides an excellent introduction to this field and has proved to be very popular with first-year students. He is a frequent speaker at science and theology conferences in Australia and overseas.
	Dr Brian T. Trainor Humanities Co-ordinator Brian specialises in social and political theory. He has published five books (including Gender, the Marriage Contract and the State, World Heritage Press, 1998; Radicalism, Feminism and Fanaticism, Avebury, 1996; The Human Service ‘Disciplines’ and Social Work: the Foucault Effect, World Heritage Press, 2003) and has written numerous articles on political theory in leading international journals. He has also written on the wellbeing of the family in modern times and took part in a panel discussion with Kerry O’ Brien on ‘Family Matters’ on the ABC’s Lateline program (11 October 1995).
	Dr Sue Penberthy Sue specialises in English literature. After winning several prizes as an undergraduate student at the University of Western Australia (most notably, the Katherine Moss Prize in English Literature), Sue then completed her doctoral thesis entitled “’Tis no sin for a man to labour in his vocation: Work, Idleness and Elizabethan Professional Theatre” in 1998. She wrote a book chapter entitled ‘Falstaff’s Reformation: Virtue in Idleness’ in The Touch of the Real: Essays in Early Modern Culture (University of Western Australia Press, 2002) and has written several book reviews in leading English Literature journals.
	Dr Rosanne Hawke Rosanne has written more than a dozen books for young people. She has taught primary school, ESL and creative writing; and has also served as an overseas aid worker with TEAM in Pakistan and the UAE. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Adelaide. Her book Soraya the Storyteller was short listed for an Australian Children's Book Council (CBC) award and the SA Festival Award; Wolfchild was short listed for the Aurealis Awards, and Across the Creek won the 2005 Cornish Holyer an Gof Award. 	Rev Dr Graham Buxton Graham is Director of Postgraduate Studies in Ministry and Theology at Tabor Adelaide, an adjunct Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary, and is a winner (2001) of a Science and Religion Course Program award. He has published three books: Dancing in the Dark: The Privilege of Participating in the Ministry of Christ (Carlisle, UK: Paternoster Press, 2001), The Trinity, Creation and Pastoral Ministry (Milton Keynes, UK: Paternoster Press, 2005) and Celebrating Life: Beyond the Sacred-Secular Divide (Milton Keynes: Paternoster Press, 2007).

Lecturers
	Lesley Houston Lesley is lecturer in TESOL and ESL and holds undergraduate degrees in theology and education and a Master of Education (TESOL) from the University of Tasmania. She is currently a D.Min candidate with a thesis on the theological implications and cultural aspects involved in teaching and learning other languages. She previously lectured for many years in the English department of the Mae Fah Luang University in Thailand and has presented papers at various professional conferences on the cultural aspects of English as an international language.
	Leena Martin Leena has a BA in English, a Bachelor of Education, an MA in English, a Masters of Education and a Certificate 4 in TESOL. She has broad industry experience in ESL teaching, lectures in TESOL and is currently a Master of Linguistics candidate.
	Yr Ham Yr has a Diploma in Ministry, a Bachelor of Theology and a Graduate Certificate in Christian Studies. She is the Humanities contact person for External Studies and a Lecturer in Humanities. She is currently an MA candidate in Creative Writing and has published several short stories and poems, many of which are inspired by her childhood in Iceland.
	Sarah Wauchope Sarah is tutor and marker in Creative Writing and English in the Faculty of Humanities. She holds a BA in English and History and is an MA candidate in Creative Writing. She was the inaugural winner of the SA Youth Writes Award and has published numerous poems and short stories.
