Application Process – Bachelor of Social Science Youth Work
Step 1:
Domestic applicants can complete a standard Tabor Adelaide Application form online by clicking the button below. Overseas applicants, please click the Overseas Students tab in the menu above.
Step 2:
Instead of the 250-word personal statement requested on the online Application form, please complete the following exercise:
Write a 1,000-word letter that clearly addresses the following questions:
- What factors have led you to pursue education and training as preparation for a vocation in youth work?
- What factors have led you to choose Tabor Adelaide as your preferred training institution?
- What kinds of possible future youth work roles are most attractive to you at this stage?
- On a scale of one to ten, how confident do you feel about your readiness for tertiary study? Describe the factors that have influenced your self-rating.
- What kind of support and preparation do you think would be most helpful to you in raising your level of confidence for study?
Step 3:
Attach any evidence that demonstrates academic achievement (TER, SACE or other academic transcripts) and a brief CV outlining your previous and current experience in youth work/ministry in voluntary or paid roles.
Step 4:
Attend an intake interview with the Course Coordinator. (You will be contacted by Tabor to arrange this on receipt of your application).
